How do you like the Honda Ridgeline compared to the BMW X5M?

Lol! Seriously though, quieter, lighter, smoother, and definitely great for grip. I find myself driving that thing like it's a car now...

On another note, if I understand correctly there is nothing holding on the rotors except the wheel lugs? So when you change a tire for example
the rotors may come off? Am I missing something?

I believe there is a small retaining screw that holds the rotor to the wheel hub. However I've run other cars where the only thing holding the rotor was the lug bolts and never had an issue when changing tires.

The rotors are still held in place by the housing that has the brake pads. So no, the rotors won't come off when you remove the wheels. The wheels/lugs just secure them further.

Rotors are holding up fine with no corrosion after a few months of winter/salted roads in NYC. I'm swapping the winter set to summer set up tomorrow, I will take a few pics to give you a better idea if you want

I took a few crappy iPhone pics of the rotors w/o the wheels...with spacers...with the new wheels mounted. The rotors do not fall off once you remove the wheels, the brake calipers hold them tightly in place...hope this helps brother

Thanks for the pics. Ride looks great. I do like the high polished look of the rotor hats on the original rotors better. Although the f85 rotors are probably less weight.

Thanks, the original rotors were a lot heavier with a nicer finish although the F85 rotors not only look better, they seem to stop the beast a lot better

Rotors are held in place on hub by two set screws. Lugs provide the necessary clamping force. Calipers are not connected to rotor other that the brake pads.

I'll be def looking in to upgrading my rotors to F85 as well, when the time comes to change them, I should be good for another 10K-15K I think, but the way it goes I can be there pretty quickly
I have a question, there is a pretty big list in the screenshot on the first page, I just want to know if all those parts are needed to upgrade?

so we need:
4 rotors (2 front, 2 back)
2 sets of pads (front and back) these can be from either E70 or F85?
2 sets of sensors (front and back) 4 sensors?
4 new bolts?

Just an educated guess here...my '11 X5M only has one sensor on front and one rear. The pads need to match the caliper and rotor, but have to attach to the caliper, so I would expect to use pads from the year/model that the caliper originates from. This looks nice, but I would be concerned about pads/rotors not matching perfectly from two different models. Less contact area equals less ability to stop.

looks good, however i wonder if there is a issue where you could spin the rotors freely since the screws aren't there to hold the rotor and as a result cause major pain when trying to line up the wheels rotor and hub for putting in the lug bolts during wheel swap

Thanks, both front and rear rotors held in place very firmly while mounting the wheels. The rear wheels were a lot easier to mount since the spacers were bolted to the rotor, the front wheels were a major pain in the ass trying to line up the bolts and keep the spacer from spinning, my best advice would be to get a second set of hands to help with the big awkward and heavy 22'' wheels...I sat on the ground lifted the wheel onto the hub and controlled it with my thighs fighting to get the bolts in

You will need front and rear F85 rotors, re-use the original pads, sensors and bolts...everything lines up 100% except for the set screws. I've pushed the beast past 130mph with aggressive breaking since installing the new rotors with no issues whatsoever
