X5 M Coolant Level Sensor Location?

I have a low coolant warning alert on (been on for months) I am not leaking coolant and the coolant level never changes. This leads me to believe that the sensor has gone bad. I checked google and realoem for locations of the sensor. Realoem shows the sensor on the expansion tank for my model and date of production. My expansion tank has three hoses attached for coolant flow and the cap for filling the coolant... there is no sensor on the expansion tank and no electrical connections for that matter. So does anyone know the sensor location? I would love to fix this and live alert free.

Thanks,

Ryan
