20" Sport Wheel Setup in Winter
I'm looking at upgrading to a 20" sport setup and was wondering how they would handle in the winter if I were to get some all season tires like the Continental Extreme DWS.
What is your experience running a 275 / 315 staggered all season tire setup in the winter? Thanks Darin |

i had set 20" 275 with Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow for the winter and it's good. I don't think 315 rear with all season will work well on Winter, 315 is too wide. Get small wheel with snow tire, don't take chance.

I run staggered 20" style 214s with Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow winter tires. Handles very good, straight line traction is amazing even in the deep snow. I leave everybody behind from a dead stop in a snow storm. One think I don't like is the rear traction inside the turn, could slide pretty good if you don't control the throttle well. That's due to low profile, size 11 in the back and the lack of torque vectoring diff like on X5M. I won't recommend all-seasons on 20" wheels in a deep snow.
