Just picked up my X5M yesterday and I am loving it! One question though...

How do I clean the carbon fiber parts? There is some sticky glue and I don't know anything about carbon fiber and don't want to damage it. Is a warm wash cloth good enough to remove debris or is there something special I should be doing?

Try warming it up with a hair dryer on low then cleaning off with a wet washcloth. WD40 also works well but you may have the smell linger inside if you use too much.
Good luck with the X it looks awesome.

bro. no matter what dont put WD-40 on ur whip! its not cf its just a leather weave, so just use some quality leather cleaning product prefrably with a matte finish or else u will get a cheap lokking shine on ur leather.... just wipe it down with that on a microfibre towel and ull be fine. nice ride btw.

Thanks for the advice, I will try the leather cleaner. It looks like CF, but it does say on the window sticker that it's leather. Thank you so much! I love the new rocket.

I use this product whenever I need to remove sticky stuff. It's great for everything including pine tree pitch stuck to your paint. I have used it to remove stickies from a leather seat without negative consequences.

Try it on a hidden area first

I think the carbon leather is very delicate - I still can't get the gooey shipping tape goo off the carbon fiber dash. Does anyone have experience cleaning this material??

Congrats man, it's one hell of a ride!!! I use lexol on most of my non-BMW cars with no problem but on my BMW's I use the Spinneybeck products. They are the ones who supply the majority of the leather interiors for BMW cars and they have excellent cleaners and conditioners for your car.
