Sunroof Vacuum

Hi guys,

Any clever solutions for only having the sunroof open?

I always have to crack the windows.

I've had 4 cars with sunroofs. Two had the issue, two didn't.

Mine is dead quiet with it open to the first stop and all windows closed. I've actually forgotten it was open and left it parked like that a couple of times. If you go past the first stop and open fully then yes, it does get loud. Nothing you can do about that - aerodynamics.

I'm going to try that first stop trick driving home. I do always go all the way open. I'll report back - thanks!

Is this with or without a wind deflector? If with, how does it compare to without..

The half way open trick worked!

I think I have a wind deflector. It is a mesh screen that opens up about two inches on the front of the roof opening. It's strange that it's mesh if it's supposed to deflect wind...seems more like a bug catcher then anything else.

I wonder if there are aftermarket wind deflectors that would solve the issue and allow it to be opened all the way.

Yeah, I've had a few cars with a "soft stop" for the roof at the non-buffeting point. Too bad in this car you can't open our huge roof all the way!
