Question LED Hedlights....

Picking up a 2013 5.0 and really wanted the LED lights, I was under the impression that you could get them on the regular models as you can with the LCI X6 in the Lighting package. Anyway they're only available on the M in the X5....

Just wondering since they have them on the M is it possible to swap them out to the regular E70? I'm guessing the lights are probably outrageously priced but other than that would it be a direct swap? I'm sure that they'll need coded as well but there are plenty of people that are doing remote coding now that I can get that done pretty easily...

Good question, I am wondering the same thing. Will the LUX H8 product work? I also have a new 5.0i.

No they can't be replaced as the X6 and X5M light shape is a different shape than the X5 headlight. Lux is only good for a LED angel eyes. the new LED lights are LED lamps as well, completely different light mechanism. LCI X5's already have LED angel eyes.

That would be something if we could achieve that even with coding. I installed the LED side markers recently in my 2012, all I need now is LED light bulbs to complete the look.

Thanks, that's what I figured would be the case on a direct oem swap. Like you said the LCI already has the LED AE's so I guess I'll just live with the Xenon lamps....

Out LUX H8 V3 angel eyes are designed to work on the pre-LCI headlights that use an H8 bulb for the angel eyes. They are the brightest on the market and are a 6500k color.
