Question on brake energy regeneration on X6
I was reading the 2011 X6 option list and saw this was standard (Brake energy regeneration). Upon braking it recharges the battery.
Can this be disabled? The reason I ask is that on a review of the BMW 5GT this was given as a negative since it seems like when braking it results in a "jerky ride" as they put it. Does anyone notice this on the X6? Thanks, Dave |

I have had my X6 for a little over a week, I don't feel any jerkiness. I doubt you can turn the brake regeneration off. How would the battery charge? I think the X6 does not have an alternator due to this brake regeneration.
