My 35d is close to 80K miles. Agree! I love driving this truck, however, when mine hit over 50K miles all hell broke loose related to emissions. Sensors, thermostats, water pump, vacuum leaks, EGR coolant etc. Every time I fix something, I have become paranoid as to when the next CEL appear! Heck my wife's 2009 4Runner is over 135K miles and the only thing I replaced other than oil change was the brake pads and rotors.

This is my 2nd X5 - traded in the 4.8 for the 35d and have been very happy with it so far. Well, until 2 weeks ago when the Shell station had unleaded in the diesel pump but that's not the car's fault.
Just minor things: Glove box had bubbling on the black plastic part (warranty) Head unit for nav/sat (2x under warranty) O2 sensor at 45k-ish (warranty) General recalls that we've all seen though the airbag one hasn't been fixed yet. |
