Unhappy 2007 X5 4.8i - 95C thermostat

Hi guys

I have been reading the forums for the past 2 years and most of my questions were answered in posts by others. But I have an issue but no solution.

I ordered the 95C thermostat from Logic7 on eBay but my temp is still showing the stock 105C. It was done at a Reputable shop that specialises in bmw.
Is there a tuneup that needs to be done in order the car to recognize the new lower rated thermostat?

Any suggestions? Gladly appreciate it.
