X6 M Rear View Camera

Hey guys i had a quick question i could use some help with. My uncle has a 2012 X6 M and he's been complaining that he can't see anything from the rear camera at night. He thinks the cameras night vision isn't working but im not sure if the car even has night vision : Is this a common problem among these cars or should we get a new rear camera module or something?

If I remember correctly, my 2013 camera was terrible at night also. Current camera somewhat improved but night time is still dark.

I don't ever remember griping about the clarity on ours. Maybe Uncle's vision is degrading. I know mine has. Even with glasses, I'm enjoying driving at night less and less. I'm 57

are you sure rear view cam has night vision? i dont think it has..
for solution.. backing up with brake brightens up with stop lights help.. that what i do.. you may try increasing the contrast from idrive when the cam is on also..
