Oil for a 2008 X5 4.8is???

I was wondering if anyone knows what type/brand of oil to use for my X5...the oil level is low and computer tells me to add a quart of oil...im taking it to get the 30K service in 2 weeks!!!

Mobil 1 or Castrol Synthetic 5w30??

Or you think i can somehow get BMW to do it under warranty?

Car says its below minimum level so i assume it is not safe to even drive it to the dealer

Thoughts???

BMW recommends Castrol.

Just pick up a quart and add it yourself. It'll cost about the same as driving down to the dealers and waiting for them to add it for you (which some dealers will do for free).
