I don't personally find it to be very attractive. However, I test drove one at the Spartanburg, S.C. BMW driving school and enjoyed it. It's much smoother, quicker and 'tighter' than the X3/X5.
Love the suede seat option (even if it never fully looks clean).

never driven it, but i think its the best looking car bmw has come up with over the last few years. I would take an x6 over any other luxury suv/crossover any day of the week... The fact that its stylish and coupe looking are all ++++++

I saw pics of it in the past, but recently I saw one on the way to Houston, TX. It looked very sporty and very unique. It definitely passes with flying colors.

I think you either like the looks of this car or you don't , doesn't seem to be any middle ground. Now after you drive one then what it looks like isn't your most important criteria. There are plenty of articles by folks that admittedly didn't like even the idea of the X6 but became converts after spending some time driving one.

That's been exactly my experience - very little middle ground. People hate it or they love it. I've had mine for a year now, and ordered it based on pictures and brochures. I still love the looks of it, but quite honestly, it's just not very practical. Luggage space is small for its size; it only seats four; and it has a lot of blind spots that making driving fairly hazardous in a big city. I knew all that going in, but lately I've found the deficiencies more annoying, and my wife doesn't like driving it at all. Of course, I also get new car fever every spring. I'm actually trading mine in for a new Lexus LS460. It's also got deficiencies, but a big sedan that seats five with ample luggage space is more practical for what I need right now. I actually like it better than the new BMW 750, which was just raked over the coals by Motor Trend. The good news is the X6 has held its value fairly well. I'm getting $50K as a trade-in. Paid app. $55. I'll miss it, but life moves on. Farewell X6 board!

Got mine a month ago, had a RX350, drove most SUVs, kills the Cayanne 6 cylinder, I love it, its like a blown up sports car, lease prices in CT match SUVs with MSRP $15K less

PS: We all had a fokin good reason (or many more) to buy this veeery expensive baby.

I picked up my new X6 about a month ago. I love the look of it, a real grunty stance. I have only done 400km in so far and it is averaging 10.4ltrs/100km on a combined city highway run. There has only been a couple of downsides I have noticed, one being it's size making it almost impossible to fit into many parking bays comfortably and secondly, it seems to "float". On occasions I have felt a loss of control over the vehicle as it feels to be floating on a cushion of air. Lots of other comments on the forum about how great it's handling is....but for me...not the same experience. Also, be mindful when opening the boot hatch, if the adjustment is at full height, watch not to hit low ceilings.
Overall, early days, but it has won me over!!

Yes, it floats. but you need to control that. Sometimes I feel I am driving a hovercraft. . . Never drove one of those but I imagine is that thing.
