How can I beep, and beep beep my alarm silently?!

My Viper alarm on the other one, has an option, you depress the right button first, then the left one. And the lock/unlock is silent. .no more beep beeps. I don't know how to do it on the BMW alarm. . .Sorry for asking these things, but I hate manuals (I prefer to learn it on the spot, using the hardware).

I think it's in I drive- vehicle- settings- locking.
Uncheck the box that says "audio confirm when locking"
& uncheck the box "audio confirm when unlocking" (not verbatim but something like that)...
then no more road runner beep beeps!

o.k. previous was fr. memory, not xact.
Now from pg 31 of manual:
IDrive-Settings-Vehicle/Tires-DoorLocks-Confirmation-
Uncheck Acoustic Confirm for both Locking & Unlocking.
Voila! Coyote 1, RoadRunner 0.

Yo, Deda since you are a guru with zillions of posts on XBimmers, just tell me if on your European Idrive you have an option for "sound" on'/off on alarm. I couldn't find it on mine.

It's under "Confirmation".
Try turning the dial , i find some options are often hiding just off the screen, turning the iDrive dial will bring them into view into the centre of screen.

Turn dial after pushing knob entering "DOOR LOCKS" to locate "Confirmation"
Try these short video manuals, one may be similar to pg.31 in owners manual.
