Tires

Have 20" on mine. seem decent. Truck had tem when I got it. Thinking of going with the Dunlop to try something else for no other reason than to try something else.

Do the dunlops have more of a lip on them?

Yeah, I know what you mean about the tread design, but how do the rears look compared to the Dunlops? Are they noticeably skinner? I'm getting the Contis installed in a few weeks and concerned about the rear not looking as good without the Duns

Not noticably skinnier. Went with same size 315-35. Will have to take a look at the rear again. Just not as agressive looking.

What size continental DWS's are you guys getting put on your 20-inch rimmed X5s? Coming from the 7-series side of the house, I am already VERY familiar with the Conti DWSs and think that they would be PERFECT for my (planned) X5. I can also see the need for a bit more sidewall than come on the OEM summer Dunlops. Seems like there is plenty of wheel well space in there so I guess a number of differing sidewall height options would be possible, right?

this i wouldnt want any more sidewall if that is what you are indeed suggesting. already makes it look like more of a truck than i like.

too late for me. i have the contis on and just got an alignment to make them wear better than the other set. rear camber was over negative 2 which accounted for me cording the inner edge. the front toe was also off almost 2.5 in scrubbing my outer edges off as well.

I do drive in the snow at times 120 mile round trip to work. Did this last year on the dunlops with not too much issue. Any suggestions would help. Did try and PM ben but doesn't take them.
how was it ?
I mean when you drive in the snow with dunlops 20s-
what do you think ? Is that OK to drive in the snow with dunlops 20s?
Don't do it! I got caught in that Halloween snow storm last yr as I didn't swap rims for the winter yet. I had a tough time changing lanes on highway, and was never happier to drive behind an 18-wheeler going below speed limit lol.

I like the DWS but don't have any experience with the Toyos. They have been a little hard to find recently though.
