2013 X5 Diesel oil change
I have researched plenty and I have read numerous threads on different forums, but most thread are super old and information could be outdated. I am doing an oil change on my car and am having a hard time choosing the best oil for it. I have looked into the Mobile 1 ESP but it does not specify the LL-04 spec.
Does this oil work for these cars??? https://www.amazon.com/Castrol-03559...yo_ii_img&th=1 Or am I better off using the BMW oil?? |

Agreed. Castro is recommended by bmw though. I use the bmw oil in my x5d. I go with the ecs tuning kit

I used BMW oil and a Mahle filter (since it's OE). Don't forget to top off the DEF while you're in there.
Get it from FCP Euro and all subsequent oil changes are free! (minus rather expensive S&H back to them...)

Correct! The last time I returned stuff it was a big box with about 15 quarts of oil, 2 oil filters, 2 gallons of coolant, and 2 quarts of diff fluid. Shipping was $50, but it netted $220 in store credit.
