HUD retrofit to E71 X6

Morning all,

Thought I would start a retrofit thread for the HUD on an E71 as I can't see one on here already. Feel free to correct me if there is one and someone has tackled it.

Wiring looks relatively easy and short to do.
Found a HUD unit, switch and replacement dash for really good money so thought I would take a punt on it all. Hopefully we can get it working and I'll post updates as we go.

In the mean time does anyone know what would need to be coded to make this work?

Also it suggests a different windscreen on realoem.... does anyone know what the difference is and if the HUD will work without it, all be it not as well?

HUD and dash are on their way to me (hopefully with the switch and HUD trims) so fingers crossed.

Update next week.

However, they don't say what the connector is for the HUD unit and I am unable to find it anywhere.

Does anyone know the part number?
Photo of the connector attached ... its a 12pin plug with twin optical for the MOST ring.
