2016 X5 wheels on a 2012

I have a 2012 X5 Xdrive35i and found a set of 2016 wheels. The circumference and diameter measurements are slightly larger on the older wheels. (1.2" diameter). The new wheels/tires are 0.8" wider.

Are the sensors transferable from the old wheels eventually and would there be any issues running without them until I'm ready for a tire change or should I just pay to swap the sensors? I'm almost ready for a new set of tires anyway.

Is anyone familiar with any fitment issues?

Anything else I should be concerned with?

Thanks in advance. I tried searching but it was cumbersome from my phone. If I get a chance to test fit, I'll post my findings.

Yes, you can transfer the sensors and you will need to if you want your CIC to display the proper tire pressure, the E series and the F series sensors operate in different frequencies so they aren't compatible. If you don't transfer them you can still drive without a problem but you will get super annoyed with the warnings since it is considered a safety thing and the car will continue warning you non-stop.
One way around that is to code that feature out using Protool or Carly.
