Tire Pressure
Owner's Manual for X5M gives an OE range of 33 to 38 psi for RFT's, depending on speed driven. Any personal experiences and recommendations regarding daily use pressure.

I have always set my tire press at 5 to 6 lbs. under the max rating on the tire, not what the manufacture says. This comes from years of putting various tire's through the paces on a hot summer day and checking the tire press before and after. The most gain that I ever had was 6 psi from a 70 degree garage floor temp to 90 degree day with 30 minute's of running the tire to the edge of it's envelope. Now that I run nitrogen, I get little if any rise in press. My current tires (Conti DWS), will probably be the first set that will nowhere near go's to the expected mileage of 50K. I am wearing the inside edge on the rears 2 to 1 with just 12,000 miles...very disappointing! Seems ya just cannot get away from the negative camber in the rear, a factor that seems to be exaggerated with 20" 315 rear! ....."or 325's in your case" I run non-RFT. |
