X5 xDrive35i Towing Question

Im thinking about adding a trailer hitch to my 2013 X5 xDrive35i. Those of you with an X5 xDrive35i without rear air suspension that tow, do you get any significant compression in the rear end once loaded with a trailer? In other words does your X5's rear end squat and ride lower than the front?

Wouldn't this depend on how much weight you put on the tongue of the trailer? I think you could control it to some degree.

Correct tongue weight will make a huge difference. But there is enough clearance in a X5 to not matter too much. Unlike my lowered subaru towing 2200lbs from SoCal to Seattle...

Agreed. However I see suvs all of the time that have extreme sagging even when towing light loads. Does anyone notice any sag with unloaded trailers for instance?

The reason I brought up this question is because I'm thinking about getting a hitch-mounted motorcycle carrier and I'm trying to figure out if the rear end will sag down a ton.

I tow a 4000 lb boat and trailer with my 2012 35i X5. Est about 300 lb tongue weight. No air suspension, no problems.
