E70 LCI 3.5 Retrofit LCI 5.0 Muffler Tips

Hi,

Any one have E70 LCI 3.5 Retrofit LCI 5.0 Muffler Tips parts list and or numbers? I have a NON M Sport by the way.

I'm getting the 5.0 bumper and wanted to know if just getting the tips would work. Thanks in advance! I couldn't find too much information when I did the search.

Mike

Should be the same bumper just without the insert. Just the "tips" is really the tips and the pipe that runs to the muffler. They have to be cut off and the new ones welded. Check real oem for parts as there may be a retrofit part number. I know I found them before just with google. Left my laptop at work otherwise I'd do the search now.
...and I did the search anyway...

This was another discussion using pre lci. Real oem lists a part number for performance exhaust tips that are similar to the 50i tips but they are very expensive: p/n 18302218603. If you just google it though you will find some different options

The retrofit kit with tips, clamps and trim pieces # 18302185392
Trim pieces will have to be put in place to cover the round exhaust cutouts you have to manually enlarge unless you replace the whole bumper cover with the 5.0 that has the proper cutouts already which is #51127227786. These will need to be color matched as well.

When you say you are replacing the rear bumper, just know that if you are thinking of getting an M sport rear bumper there's a lot more involved. If getting a standard 50i rear bumper, it should be a pretty straight forward swap.

Btw, another option is upgrading the standard tips to 4" as seen in this thread:

Thank you all for your responses. I just double checked REALOEM and found a retrofit section with more details and part numbers.

I've ordered a new bumper with the 5.0 opening, I don't like the M Sport bumper.

I've found the part on ECStuning for around $400.

It's 35i & 50i.

Or 3.0 & 4.4.

So clamp should work in lieu of welding?

Bump, didn't want to start a new thread.

Can the oval tip retrofit be done on a 35d? If I were to source the tips, clamps (and trim piece if necessary?)

Tail pipe+clamp: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...h/18302185392/
Trim piece (need paint): https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/51122167733/
or MPerformance (?) tips: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...p/18302167743/

I have an 08 3.0 and swapped out the rear bumper with a 2011. Hate the way the exhaust tips look, any suggestions?
