X6 5.0 Wheels Replacement

Hello everyone, I have an 5.0 X6 with :
Bridgestone RFT Dueler H/P Sport RSC
Front : 275/40R20
Rear : 315/35R20
Style 259 20"Light-Allow Wheels

I need to replace two wheels, that going too fast on a corner I hit the side of the road and scratched the front left wheel pretty bad, and broke a piece off the rear left wheel. Tires OK.

Thinking of changing the style of tires, so am going to buy all four, but do you guys think performance would change using 21" wheels instead of 20" wheels? Do you guys think the 21s look better on the X6?

Where I live roads are not great, curious to know where the 20" tire is stronger than the 21".?

Thanks,
George

Change in performance should be negligible as the step up from 20" to 21" isn't too much. The stance will look better with the 21s anyway.

21" wheels means lower profile tires w/ less sidewalls to protect your wheels.
U have to remember to make slightly wider turns, as the x6 IS a wider car.

21's will be a problem if your streets are not-so-good, I will stay on 20's, more wheel means less tire to protect the wheels on pot holes.
