My X5M did not need its first oil change until 16K+ miles. You should check you vehicles status it will tell you how much further it wants to go.......Steve

You can check the oil level through the iDrive and decide from there if u need an oil change. These cars need service every 15k miles or so, so I'd suggest you just call and make an appointment

Has it been 12 months? I would definitely want it changed by 16K regardless of the time span or any sensor readouts. I had mine done at 8K and 12 months at the dealer. I would call and request the service and see what they said.
I am so glad I don't need to put a lot of mileage in a short time on my car. My commute is all but 10 miles round trip. |

I dont think i want to wait 15K to do first oil change
I did oil change everytime between dealer scheduled changes on my 335i which translates to 7.5K. Anyone knows the cost if you ask dealer to do this outside of schedule? |
