Congrats! Did the dealer say when the side-view cameras will be available?

The 2010 was a short model year. I would assume it was so they could incorporate the mechanical changes from the 2001 (LCI) X5 into the 2011 X6.

I have also ordered a 2011 x6. Production is confirmed for April 9th. I have confirmed that the new Teck package comes with side view cameras. I don't know where your dealer got this info.

I was not aware of that. Do you know if they will install it in our vehicles then because we are still paying for the price increase. New teck package is 2500.

I ordered the x6 50i, don't think there is a tech package only camera package. I was told price would reflect removal of side view cams.

Yea, that's the exact package and price from the 2010's.

It's a bummer we can't get the side view cameras for so long ...

Hey Scott, I was checking the standard features on bmwusa my account for my 2011 x6 in which by the way is schedule to be done by April 12th(doubt it), and the only change is the 8 speed automatic transmission. The engine is still showing the TwinPower Turbo. Do you know anything about this? I was under the impression they were going with the single-turbo inline-six. Your thoughts?

for the 2011 x6 35i it will be the N55 twin power scroll which is not the same as the twin turbo N54.

the x6 50i will be the twin turbo 4.4 v8

which did u order?
both will have the 8spd

I ordered the 35i. and here is what it says on my order: "3.0-liter dual overhead cam (DOHC), 24-valve inline 300-hp 6-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo technology, Valvetronic, piezo direct fuel injection, and Double-VANOS steplessly variable valve timing". I just copied and pasted out of my order. It's identical to what it says on the bmw site where the 2010 model is still showing. However the 8 speed trans shows on my car.

I found out today that all 2011 X6's and X5's are waiting for every state EPA approvals to be released. So BMW will not be scheduling any performance center deliveries nor shipping until they get their approvals. We might have to wait a little longer to get our cars.

yea I knew this already from last week. Not only are we waiting for EPA approval but also CARB, which is the California emissions standards. I was told the 1er and 3er have been competed in re: to EPA and they are working on other models. Still hoping for late April early May delivery. Roll on...

this poster " I won Today" seems very knowledgeable. He seems to be from the BMW Performance Center. He mentions X6 & X5 models should be released mid to late april
