E70 X5 35d Vacuum Hose Replacement Guide

Hey guys, I decided to put together a reference guide to replacing the vacuum hoses on the 35d models. I haven't had the time to put together a full DIY guide but this one at least gives you an idea as to the parts needed and I also included some of the diagrams for quick reference.

If you have any questions please feel free to post here or PM me

Did you get a chance to change yours? And take photos? How long did it take?

I did do this myself however I also performed the replacement the same time I was cleaning up carbon buildup on the I take and EGR valve. I'd say for vacuum hose replacement it will take 4-6hrs depending on experience.

Thanks.

I am a picture guy and pictures would really help me out.

I just changed the oil, replaced engine filter and did the rear brakes last month based on what I have seen here and the web.

Perhaps this a dumb question. I pulled off my brake booster vacuum hose thinking that the valve was faulty since I am getting a hard brake while trying to start the car. Do I have to now bleed my brakes since I pulled the vacuum pipe from the brake booster?

I just replaced all my vacuum lines via the TuneMyEuro video. It’s pretty great, and Andrew Rodriguez is an active member of the bmw diesel community.
