Squeaky noise from front doors
I am experiencing an annoying noise from both front doors of my x6.
I have the noise when making turns, braking, on small path holes or uneven road. If I open the front windows, the noise almost disappears, so l assume it's not from the plastic covers of the doors. Anyone has similar issue?... If so, is there any solution? Appreciate any inputs... |

Could be the rubber seals in the doors? The windows could be pushing against something though, maybe something loose in there after all.
Just take it to the dealer, they have to fix it under warranty as long as they can replicate it. Mine pretty much lives there... I see you have a 50i though, hopefully not nearly as my engine related issues then. Unfortunately that wasn't available yet when I ordered in early '08. |

Anything going on in the door panel could be possible.
I had some door dings on the driver side. I opened the door panel and checked if I could massage it from inside (it didn't work, but that's another story). When I closed the door panel, some cables were not fixed in place correctly. When i run through uneven roads, I could often hear squeaky noise. Sometimes they even sound like flies buzzing. This is actually caused by the cables' shielding rubbing against the side. I re-opened the door panel, and fixed the cables in place properly. The noise disappeared. In your scenario, since the noise disappears after opening the window, it is likely that something inside is loose or not fixed in place. |
