"Oil Pressure Low" 2008 X5 4.8 N62 diy request

Well a few blocks from home got a "Oil Pressure Low" Stop driving immediately message.

Car sounded fine so I drove the few blocks home. Anyone have diy on replacing the Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch (could be faulty?)

If not I'll probably have the car towed to a local shop when I come back from vacation.

Though I did park into my garage, if it is not a faulty sensor and something is wrong any tips on reversing the car out to get towed without damage? (add some oil before driving it the ~100ft out of garage/driveway?) Car will not be used for ~30days while I'm away so would that be a safe measure?

If it's truly just LOW oil pressure, you would probably be fine moving it out of your garage. How does the engine look under the valve cover? Lots of sludge? I'll be honest I've never heard of oil pressure issues on an N62.

BTW, here is the oil pressure switch sensor:

Thanks, turns out it was just a faulty sensor. Took it in to replace the sensor and everything checked out okay.
