Are you sure your doing it right? Go to music collection and push the option button. Don't enter music collection just stay highlighted on it and push option. Then your gonna see several options, one should be import music or something similar. Click that and your good to go!

faint, I tried millions of times. failed all the way
I suspected the USB not compatible. Then I drove to bestbuy to buy a new one without any security stuff engineed..then gave many try..still failed.
I really did the same as your suggested. but..... Do I need to drive to the dealership to let them manage it out? damn.... |

yes, 2012 model only has the USB port in Gbox...

Guys I successfully imported music only from CDs
USB in GBox still doesn't work out the data import.
Only can play music from USB. The CDs were made by exporting playlist with sound tracks from ITune.. I will call dealer tomo... Anybody gotta same issue on 2012 X5. |

Hit options on the idrive controller and it should be there.
Try this: burn your MP3s to a CD and see if you can import it from there. |
