Rear Trunk Roundel Removal

Is it even possible to remove the roundel from the chrome holder on the rear trunk of an E70? I have been looking/searching on here and all I see of removal of the whole unit (holder and roundel). Just wondering if there is a way to get the roundel out and have the holder painted.

From what ive read, the roundel is either glued or 3M taped to the chrome thing, which is also 3M taped to the body of the car. Not impossible to get off but difficult.

If you buy any replacement cap for the rear it usually comes with adhesive to place over the oem badge. I wouldn't try to remove it. It seems like alot more trouble than it's worth.
