Tune level for downpipe (n55)
I'm running the Jb stage 1 along with the intake currently. Started pondering a VRSF downpipe and possibly chargepipe.
Question 1: will the stage 1 work with the downpipe or so I need a jb4? Question 2: anyone have experience with the "cat simulators" (90* elbow off the bung with cat material in it that the 02 twists into)? Question 3: what do you all run to get around any check engine light when running a downpipe. I feel this may be answered in the x5m realm but a search for n55 downpipe didn't turn up much that was relevant. |

1. It will work with the downpipe but you wont be getting the most out of the tune. There is power potential being left on the table. Burgers website doesnt mentione anything about a JB4 working with our DME.
2. In my E39, I used this exact method of pushing my O2 sensors out of the stream after I switched to high flow cats. Worked great. 3. Using the method in #2 **should** keep the check engine light off. Your other option would be to switch to a tune from MHD which will keep the light off. |
