X5 DVD in rear looking to replace.
I'm putting it out there to any or all current or previous owners. I am having issues with the rear DVD. Any suggestions or reference to replacing the DVD player

I had thought to buy one of those CDs with the brush built in to attempt to clean the laser, but I found a spot in the manual that explicitly states not to do so.
I'll be bringing mine to the dealer and showing them the issue. Maybe once that's done, I may have some insight for you. |

Well I took mine to the dealership too and it just finished the warranty but one of the service personal told me secretly to get an aftermarket one so hence I am here to find out if anyone else had gotten theirs replaced.

I see. I'd think he meant to get a standalone unit to plug into the RCAs on the rear entertainment stack. I believe the OEM rear DVD player has proprietary connectors on the back.

The rear DVD player is in the rear console.
IDK if you have premium sound, but if you do, you'd have a 6 disc DVD changer in the glove box. My changer plays things flawlessly, it's the rear that skips. |
