My fav. Next time.
I have not had the pleasure of photographing my X yet..white. I love the white. I mean LOVE (maybe more of a chick color??). Black seems so hard to keep clean. I may have a photo (I will look) but it would be with OUT running boards if I do (I added them later-totaly make the car IMO). Let me check...photo will show below if I have..if not GOOGLE search images will produce a lot. I had the same hard choice (between white and black). I also checked AUTOTRADER and looked at dealer pics they posted (you can blow them up etc). YOu can find a lot of pics on the net of the X5's...

OK...such a BAD photo...it was the only one I had taken the day I bought the X5 (2007)--this past July (2010). It is a near useless photo...sorry. Black leather interior.
SORRY!! Oh well, just wanted you to know I tried. For loving this X so much--I sure dont show it with pics... I KNOW MY RIMS SUCK...no sports pac. I know!!! I know...I KNOW!!!!!! Ugg....still a damn great ride! Will opt for sports pac next time though.

Let's face it. We work hard to purchase/lease these toys, so as long as you enjoy your ride no matter the options, colors, etc... it doesn't matter. What matter's is the pride and enjoyment we get out of owning them.

You mean "driving" them.

+1 on that. I have had gasoline in my blood since a kid and always want a car to be more than just a way to get from point A to point B. Some of us now have diesel, but that's OK too.

Im still trying to decide between silver and space grey. Black is very nice, but Im too anal to get black. I need something that doesnt show scratches, swirl marks... ect.

I've seen what I consider a dark red on an X5, and a bright red on the X6. I liked the X5, but I thought the X6 was too ... bright ... for a big vehicle. Saw them both at Vista BMW (may still be there, so they may have pictures up).

I like whited out anything, with wheels to match. I would have said that the gray was not my favorite, but I saw a 2011 a few weeks ago, which dark taillights, dark windows, and dark trim. That thing was BEASTY (sexy). |

Thanks guys. Thought about the blacked out grills but was undecided. There is still some chrome in the roundels and on the side turn signals, so the chrome could not be eliminated completely. It would also mean trying to figure out how to put them on or taking it somewhere to get it done, a hassle I was not interested in undertaking at this moment. Now, if someone came out with a complete "blackout" package where they included all the roundels and other chrome pieces, well, that would be much harder to turn down.....
And don't think I don't stare at those chrome exhause tips and wonder what it would take (i.e. how much $$$$) to black those out as well.....I happen to think they would look great in ceramic black with the word "Dinan" written across the top of each of the four of them...... |
