And talk about being dismissed and frowned upon... Finland does this well! Since everyone here where we live know me, they see us living in a flat as us being broke, I didn't help with that by telling our neighbor that my hubby is a male prostitute.

Also, everyone here seems to know my family lines, so I keep telling everyone who wants to know that my family loves me very much and I never was disowned.

To translate that to you, my family (the one I was born in to from my mothers side) is as right wing as they can be here. I've never bothered to have a normal job since I do well while I can be home with the kids, let alone my spouse supporting the family too very well.

The worst part for the folks around here is that they don't believe me, but they want to. They can't figure out why anyone would move into a flat if they can buy a house.
