Lowering Options for MY12 W/ AD and VS
What lowering options are there for a 2012 M-Sport with Adaptive drive and Variable steering(not sure if that matters)?
Worried about decreased ride composure and comfort... any reviews on what's out there? Thanks

The only differentiation is if you have rear self-leveling or not.
So that leaves springs from Dinan, H&R, and I think Megan. Maybe Eibach too. (Dinan probably buys from H&R or Eibach) Coilovers are D2 (Cheap Taiwanese junk) or KW v3 The third option is to order from the UK, a set of Bilstein matched performance struts and lowering springs. They don't sell this in the US for the e70's. It's a performance strut and I think an Eibach spring. They have a great price point if you go this route, but no warranty.

I am researching the third option. I have the Eibach springs installed, but the ride is a little bouncing. I do not know if the ride will get harsh once I install the Bilstein sport. Feedbacks ???

The "good," stuff, we don't get in the US, or Canada. It's sold only in Europe, perhaps a few other GEO's, but not North America. This applies to their coilovers too. (Not for the e70 but for other makes/models) This is probably simply a money decision and the US arm of Bilstein in Poway CA not wanting to support something that may not sell as well in limited numbers. |

Many of the members on here have the KWV3's coilovers. They do make an application with and without self leveling. Pictured here is my kit without the self leveling links. I have the rear springs which your kit would come without. As for the ride the KWV3 ride GREAT! I am fortunate that Belltech is 15 mins away from my work and had one of there techs adj the rebound and compression for me. This is my 3rd set on different vehicles and love them. At first i installed the 1.2 H&R springs and the ride was pretty good but i wanted to go lower so i purchased the kit from one of the members here. Good luck

So I can get KWV3 and still keep the AD & Sprot setting in working fashion? They are electronic?

No, the adaptive drive will be disabled. I had mine coded so i would not get an error light. The light on the sport button will remain off. Thanks
