X6 "M" Confirmed By BMW!!!!!

Here is an article in auto motor sport magazine where the head of the "M" Division confirms "M" models for the X6 and X5!!!! The engine will be a juiced version of the TTV8!!!! Interesting read... I read the German version (the translated version messed a few things up...).

So M Gmbh will in fact be selling M versions of the X5 and the X6 by the end of 2009... Interesting!

Mr. Ludwig Willisch unfortunately did not get into any details about the engines and their expected outputs

Oh well, I guess time will tell. But from the looks of it, they will just take the V8TT and boost it some more...

I suspect the engines would be the tt8 tweaked to 500hp like the bmw tt8 that will be in the 2010 lotus. I also suspect most after market tuners could get you a serious horse power boost with some software tweaking but no doubt BMW would then void the warranty on the engine.
