Track your bmw - what do stages mean ?

I have been tracking my X6 5.0i in the owners circle since I received the production number for it. Most of the time it was sitting in "scheduled for production", yesterday my dealer sent me my vin number. I went to OC to see if entering the vin would show anything different but now it showed my X6 as "at preparation center", Anyone have any idea what these different phases actually equate to ?

Between "scheduled for production" and "at preparation center"
there is "Awaiting transport" and "En route". So do these refer to from the plant to some central preparation/shipping center ?

thanks Geek

If I understand correctly, At preperation center is actually right next to plant and once the vehicle has finished production it is released to BMW North America and then run a few checks at the preparation center and prepare it for transport on a truck to your dealer. At that stage it would be about 4-5 days away from a dealer in TX so I am guessing you are probably only 3-4 days behind that so I would guess you be only be 3-4 days longers going to NoCal so I would not think your X6 should much longer than a week and half from today for you to receive. Congrats! You are going to have a blast.

go to e90post/new car ordering... you will find lots of good info there. though keep in mind X6 are made in the US, unlike 3 series (usually germany)
