2011 x5 35d 119k, 4862 & 48d1
I picked this 35D up as I am always buying and selling BMWs, but have yet to own a diesel before now. I got a great deal on it (private party) since it had a giant hole in the charge air hose and they could not pass emissions with the CEL.
Now after I replaced the hose this morning, I have two pending codes after a 40 mile, 5 engine start errand running trip. I get 4862 and 48D1, but no check engine light. Maybe that is because the codes shown are 'pending'. 4862 (air flow to EGR flow) 48d1 (fault, air system) What are some good first steps? I was thinking of cleaning the MAF and cleaning the EGR valve... I appreciate any assistance for this diesel rookie. So far I love how this thing drives. I know most of you will say delete it, which could be a possibility, but I am in an emissions testing state, so it would need to be a temp delete or something. |
