Ignition coil E70 recommendation

I am going to change the spark plugs for a 2009 X5 3.0 with 90k miles this weekend. What is a recommended brand for ignition coils besides the OEM?

Thanks advance.

Sophisticated Redneck just swapped to Dinan from Eldors, from OEM, he's testing to see if they are worth a crap or all BS, ur timing is excellent, he just did this today and is testing today to report results.

I just installed Dinan as well. Will post up once I’ve have a chance to drive it. Maybe a $2 or $3 more per coil than Bosch so I figured I’d give them a shot

I needed a set from Autozone (Duralast, cost $205 for the entire set with tax). After changing the out the spark plugs, suv was still misfiring. So I swapped coils on #4/5, and that gave me the clue. Needed to drive the X5 from Az to Calif.

Troy is slammed but i can tell you the Dinan are better, about 15% better spark and less misfires based on testing. its the same setup we went with all 3 builds we have going on with an S63 and N63..

as for getting a good deal, you can email Mike at mike@x-ph.com , he is a vendor on here. Just tell him Joe sent you.. Dinan requires MAP pricing on the web, so pricing will be the same everywhere, but Mike can hook you up. Show him this post if you need.

I have a kit to run b58 coils on an N55 and I am in the phoenix area.

It is overkill for a stock engine but it will give the best spark!

I’ve been running the DINAN coil packs for a little over a week now. Idles and runs smoothly, no issues under heavy boost. No complaints. Mine needed new coils and plugs, as I was getting a random misfire with the old ones. I don’t have any stock vs DINAN testing results so can’t say they outperform stock. But they seem just as good.
