Smile About to purchase a 2010 X6 Hybrid

Hi guys, I am new to the forum.
I am thinking about purchasing a 2010 X6 hybrid with only 5K miles on it. I am giving it a second thought after seeing reviews about how expensive the repair will be after the warranty expire. Do we have Hybrid owners on the forum who can give me some actual review on the car? Thanks in advance.

A couple of people here have reported that even BMW won't extend the warranty on these. In addition, the mileage is not that much better. So you are much better off getting a 2010 X6 V8.

Thanks Doug. The reason why I am considering the hybrid is because the 2010 used car price for the hybrid is actually cheaper than the regular V8, and more loaded too.

It should be cheaper, given the facts above
I would pass....

Agreed - a car that is nearing the end of its non-extend able warranty gets hurt badly on residual.

Why is the warranty not extended? My friend just extended the warranty on his X6 hybrid for another 2 years without any trouble.

Got one and love it , they will extend the warranty . I agree about longer term value but the benefit is lower purchase price now................very fast !

Through OD and it wasn't cheap. About 4000 EUR.

I went to an independent dealer in regards to importing a X6 hybrid from the states and they said I could get 3rd party extended warranty. The pamphlet they showed me offered 3 levels of coverage from basic to comprehensive and it was about $2500 for 5years/100K with a $200 deductible.
