Well, if you had to design, test, prototype and build these "niche" vehicles in small quantities, where is the big profit? I think BMW is wasting its efforts in trying to be Toyota. They (BMW) want to be everything to everybody and try to create a market where no one was asking for that type of product. The X6 is much lower volume than the X5. So in that vein, I agree that the M6 shouldn't be built either, however; the M3 and M5 are based off BMW's high(er/est) volume production lines. Now, that is a bit more logical. |
