Anyone running stage1 & exhaust flap mod?

I'm running a Stage1 JB and wondering the cons of the exhaust flap mod. I read somewhere it's not a good idea to have the mod in the summer?

I LOVE the shift sound with the Stage1. Kinda has a M sound, but would like it louder. Would the open flap GVE me that and would it be safe to have a consistent open flap?

I did run the JB and had the flap mod! i have had mine open for over 30k now no issues

The flap is to reduce cabin noise (drone) at cruising speeds. Google 'Golf Tee Mod'. Most owners I know have it open all the time.
