Bluetooth does zero for me. But I do like the sound of I'm iPod being digital and not the aux cord as well as album art. But nothing I'm gonna be irate over.
I'm talking about september. I'm the one that posted the link to the bulletin. :-)

If any one is really that stressed about what car they may receive , it's quite simply really...

Just go to the dealer and say " i have ordered a car from you it's costing me a bucket load of money so i would like, with out any doubt, for you to confirm the following"

Then simply ask away , i mean you have, ordered the car from them, it would be nice to know what you are paying for !

I think it is irrelevant what date ,week and so on BMW are classing Sept orders as , but more the case of "what car am I getting"

if it were only that simply...you'd be surprised how clueless some CA's really are...thank goodness we have discussion boards/forums....

Update

All I know is I have read nothing official bout "week 40" anywhere all I have seen is people saying he said she said stuff. Flip is the only one who has posted any credible info that I have seen and it clearly states all cars in production in sept will receive the update. That also goes with what the manger at the BMW store told me. I will go in this wk and have him call to 100% verify build dates for the update. Because it sounds like no one really knows and a Few of us would like to be in the know.

As for "why don't we just go ask the sales person". I don't know bout everyone else but I seem to know more bout the cars then most of them. very few people know what's really going on. I bet most dealerships arnt even aware of a x6 update and still won't until one arrives. That's just been my experience at not just BMW but all over.

Production update

Ok here is the scoop. Went in and had the manager call bmw corp. 100% updates do not start till wk 40! Led AE are not included. Orginally they were but BMW decided it was to expensive to switch. They will switch to Led on next body style. The update for the idrive also let's you receive txt MSG and emails so other than the iPod update that's the biggest thing. I have decided to take a wk 34 build over the wk 40. Waiting an extra 6 wks for something I won't really use isn't worth it to me. Just crappy timing I guess. Anyway that's honest info and hopefully will help someone.

Hardly a big scoop !
One big circle as we already knew it was week 40 for the change also that LED'S where not included and finally it was the i-drive which was the only real update.

It's already in this thread and on the press release

We just received our X6 this past Saturday and it does have the side view cameras. They are mounted about 4 inches back from the front bumper on each side and there is a small switch to the far right in the lower row of switches (row with traction control disable switch and others) with a camera icon to bring up the split screen of both cameras at once. Very cool option. Ours was built the first week of August.

They were a separate $300 option (5DK), not part of the technology package.

Im not sure what your position is but You keep proving my point for what i said all along. Again at the top of the bulletin you just showed plus the one you posted wks ago it says SEPT! Yet everyone kept saying for the the X6 anyway the fall upgrades are not until wk 40 which is OCT.

Also week 40 Prod cars X5 & X6 wil have a new standard feature called "Daytime Driving Lights Front and Rear Active".There is no BMW Official Bulletin about this and nobody around knows what is it.It does show on the car I have ordered:
655 Satellite radio with 1 year subscription 350.00
6AA BMW TeleServices N/C
6AB TeleService Control N/C
6UH Real Time Traffic Information N/C
6VC Combox controller N/C
840 Increased top speed limiter N/C
8TL Daytime driving lights front and rear active N/C

Does anyone knows anything about this?
