Transmission Issue
Once I hit the park button and turn the car off the car jumps forward a bit. This does not feel normal and wonder if anyone else has this "jumping" issue once the vehicle is turned off. This even happens with the X5 is on a flat surface. TSB? This a known issue? fix?
Thanks! |

Does not sound normal.
FYI, all you need to do is turn the car off and it will automatically go into park. Even in sport mode.

Are you setting the parking brake too? There is a little "lash" in the drivetrain, so even in park, the X will shift a little bit.

Happens occasionally with mine if I do not set it to park first, (8 speed automatic). It feels as though it moves more than it does, maybe less than an inch although I have not measured it!
