Hi guys, I wasn't around much in a last six month, there were so many things that have happened in my life and with my car, and it was tough to keep up with.
Just to least a few, getting divorced, moving to different state and constant issues with my X5 in a last couple of months starting with driver side draft shaft disconnecting on a highway, breaking transmission box, oil pan and covers, the car was in the shop 2 weeks prior to that with over all routine check, I waked out of this alive and since the draft shaft was under active recall I had everything covered (new transmission, new draft shaft etc.), 2 weeks after I picked up my car, my water pump went, 1 week after that my turbo vacuum hose cracked. At that point I wasn't confident in this car anymore, maybe it was just a bad timing I don't know. I went online and found the car I always wanted, surprisingly I was able to locate one just 100 miles away from me, the rest is the history, I called the shop and next morning was there, I made it happen and now I'm a proud owner of 2013 X5M in Monte Carlo Blue, the car has 35K miles on the clock, it slightly modified with KW coilovers, 21" power coded black 375 style rims with Dunlop tires, there could be more but I'm not sure at this point as just got car last night. I know it's just a matter of time before the mod bug will bite me again and I'm going to put together the list of mods to do, as of right now on my list: re mount my Valentine

That looks amazing with those wheels. Welcome to the M family.

The M button doesn't do anything BTW, it's just a preset button you customize...

some dealer photos of the wheels, I haven't really taking any pictures yet, besides I'm planning to do some upgrades pretty soon.

Still trying to see what mods already have been done, dealer didn't have any information, I see this wheels in staggered setup 285/35R21 front and 325/30R21 with Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX tires, H&R 25mm spacers on the back, no spacers in the front, I saw the K&W Coileovers but not sure about the settings, not sure if engine is tuned or not, getting about 9.4-9.6 per mile, which seems pretty low comparing to 14 advertised, so I'm wondering if there is something there. Trying to see if I can find somebody on the board with X5M knowledge to take a look at my car to tell me exactly what's been installed etc.

Do you have a winter setup, or are you storing it for the winter?

I don't, I need to get one ASAP! the car came with this summer set, I have my 22" 300 replicas stored already but those are summers too, probably will try to sale 300 to get winter set. I believe that M bolt pattern not the same as regular E70, so I won't be able to use them anyway...

M bolt pattern is the same as the standard E70. The hub sizes are different. Use this chart for reference:

Thank you Flying Ace

so only Rear Center Bore is different from E70? the fronts are exactly the same? I'm wondering it the spacers I have on the back are converters, so I might be fine. Still need to get a winter set, do they have to be staggered or it's not necessary?

that is correct the fronts are the same, but the rear bores are larger on a E70 wheel at 74.1mm. Which means, if you use a E70 wheel on the M, you'll need an adapter to reduce the bore hole size down to 72.56mm. There are vendors who sell these, but choose the highest quality adapters. Or you can grab a set of 19s from an X6. I haven't seen many 19s on X6s though. Many X6 owners owned style 214 wheels, which doesn't give you many winter options other than DWS04 and a few $1500 set of Michilen or Pirellis.

Not sure what you mean by the spacers, they may help. Try posting on the bimmerfest E70 and the X5M threads to see who's done it. You'll still need spacers likely to prevent rubbing I imagine.

Regarding, square setups, I'm not sure. Is there a particular E70 wheel you want to use? There are staggered 19s and square 19s. If you used staggered 19s, you likely can still go square tires, but just be mindful of the overall diameter differences of the tire and what the minimum tire width that particular wheel can handle.

Thanks, I was kinda disappointed about LEDs myself, still don't understand why the LEDs were optional on 13' M when regular line got LEDs standard starting 12'.

Agreed, a 2013MY/100K X5M shouldn't be rolling with halogen coronas!

With that said, quite a few guys on here have recently retrofitted them, so there are resources here if you every decided to retrofit them. Sounds like a PITA though...but worth it.

It happens all the time. M cars have different headlight setups and always gets delayed LCI updates b/c they have to redesign the unit. Remember the LEDs are not a simple bulb or reflector change.

The entire 3-series line got LED halos sometime in 2011/2, and the E9X M3 never this update.

Retrofitting is one option if you have a ton of time and money, but people have been happy with Lux bulbs.
