I had an 07 X5 4.8 with AD and Dunlop 20" DSST before taking delivery of the X5M. My X5M came with Bridgestone Dueler. First impression after taking delivery of the X5M was that the X5M have a looser rebound comfort/normal setting on the AD (compared to my 07 X5 4.8 AD). That plus the stiffer Bridgestone made the ride of the X5M on comfort setting of the AD on bumpy road feels loose (to much uncontrolled body movement). I actually prefer the comfort setting on my 07 X5 4.8. I also much prefer the Dunlop DSST compared to the Bridgestone Dueler RFT. One thing though I notice on the Conti is that it does not have the cornering grip of the Dueler or the Dunlop. Taking 90° turn aggressively, the fronts squeals more than the RFT OEM. The unsprung weight saving? In term of acceleration, I probably noticed the X5M accelerates with less effort but at more than 5000lbs it is not night and day ;-). |

Damnnn lookin good. I've been wanting to paint the rear diffuser black too, but as with all my other plans, I'm too lazy to do it right now. I want to vinyl it but I know it'll melt. Ill probably try the black mirrors since I have the vinyl laying around. I always thought it kinda gave the car ears... But I'm liking it on the X5. Good job with the rims and lip too. Amazing stuff

Have to add 0.1lb back
Got to add 0.1lb back due to this bigger paddles
Tom at EAS installed these on my car. I like these bigger paddles, especially the slight curvature on them (second pic) |
