E70 X5 bumper on an E71 X6

I have been thinking would an E70 M sport bumper fit on an E71 X6?

A few for sale posts on ebay say the bumpers they are selling are for both X5 and X6 but has anyone tried it.

I ask as i would like to purchase a used X6 M performance front bumper for a 2009 X6 however these seem fairly rare but there is plenty on E70 M sport front bumpers.

You can compare on realoem to see what's needed to make it fit, but there's also X* to X*M look specific bumper kits on eBay which likely means it's not just as simple as unbolt and bolt between the two vehicles.

Might not be related but the X5M and X6M have different fender trims, so that might affect alignment of wheel well fender liners between each vehicle.

after a long time looking at pictures its close but i think an E70 bumper will not fit. mainly because the side part of the E70 is flat along the edge it meets the wing and the E71 has a cutout for the indicator.

Hi there,

I have a question regarding the front bottom trim panel bumper on my X6 E71. After going over an insanely high curb stopper it got damaged and as a result my PDC sensor along with its support bracket fell out while driving. Having researched online it seems that the support bracket does not have its own part number, and only comes with the bumper trim as a whole. Anyone know if this is accurate? I am confused because I have seen the two variants online, 51117172270 (with PDC) and 51117179848 (without PDC). However, I have seen images online of the 51117179848 version with the PDC support bracket. This indicates and gives me hope that perhaps it can be bought separately...
