Lowering my X5m....
Just bought a 2012 Monte Carlo X5m with 21" 215's. As is, she sits a little high for my liking with the bigger wheels. I'm about to buy a set of KW coilovers for her, but am a little skeptical of cutting any wires involving the EDC delete. I was wondering if coding would be an option, and if anyones done it before. I would love to retain the wires if ever the need to sell the truck arises.

I believe KW sells an EDC module to fool the car into thinking you have a working system. And there are other companies that make them too. Or perhaps that is included with the EDC compatible KW's? Eitherway, the reseller should know, but this has also been covered about 63 times here in the forums. Search for EDC, and you'll find lots on this topic.

I understand that there is an emulator that kw sells with their coilover kit. It also entails cutting a wire from the edc harness to attach to the emulator. Returning a vehicle back to stock will be harder(although slight). My question was whether or not coding would be an option. Many coders have the capability to disable edc thru their scripts.
