Wish I waited instead of buying the Cobb. Could have saved a couple hundred. Oh well. I'm currently running the Cobb Stage 1 + FMIC tune and I only have upgraded CP. Car pulls well and reached at most 13.5~14 psi boost. My IATs were about 50 degrees F higher than ambient temperatures when I push it hard. Otherwise, it is usually 30 degrees F higher. I was thinking about getting a catless DP and run the stage 2 tune but I don't know if I want the noise/drone.

So Justin said yes we can run s1+, just log some runs and make sure the car is happy.

I tested it a bit yesterday on my e90 and the car seems to run ok but I haven't logged yet.
I did see boost of 14psi.... Lol

Yeah the drone sound is a huge headache let me be the one to say that right now lol If I recall the drone sound came when I did a muffler delete not from when I had the catless DPs

Awesome, I would think so due to the comparison mentioned to this thread earlier. Did you upgrade your CP on the e70? I would probably do so myself before I ran that flash. Are you still receiving the 36CA code?

Oh I'm still on stock on my e70 as I can't even get out of the driveway without getting 36ca lol. The e70 cp has been more reliable than the e90 so I may stay with the stock for now. My e90 seems to be doing ok on 14psi for now. New Stock cp too.

Once he comes out with the next release, ill flash s1+ to the e70

Thanks, that is reassuring.. my urge to get a catless DP is increasing... Now stop it before I hit the buy button.

Okay good deal, I know I'm just running the stg 1 on the E70 with no issues. Since I didn't update the flash with the new version per the 36CA error. Yet, if your E90 is loving the stg 1+ that should be a good thing for the E70 since the parts seem larger. Maybe quality could be the same?

Ha the buy button is all up to you, yet I do know I don't recall hearing a drone sound when I had those on my E90

update from Justin at MHD

But currently i can tell you what the boost targets are right now..... (which may/may not change for a couple maps due to some new findings on the stock turbo Capability)

Stage 1: 12-13psi midrange to 10-11ish psi taper in upper rpms
Stage 1+: 15psi with same taper as Stage 1
Stage 2: 13-14psi midrange with a taper to 12psi
Stage 2+: 16-18psi midrange same taper as stage 2
E30: 18-19psi midrange with same taper as stage 2/2+

E30 and Possibly Stage 2+ may change a bit in the next couple weeks. But that should give you an idea. For instance Stock N55 runs 7-9psi (sometimes touches 10psi).

Hope that helps.

s1+ on the e90 n55 is going pretty well. lots of torque on this map. seeing upward of 14+psi. afr seems good. waiting for it to stop raining to log. lol.

justin got me a test tune to see if 36CA has been resolved as mine was very chronic. so i'll test that tonight and tomorrow.

Makes me wonder if that'll happen on the E70
Either way hopefully that test map shows the 36CA cleared, the roads aren't to wet on our side. Just trying to make time with tons of stuff going on is my problem now
