Garage List
They should be marked / molded on the outside on the sidewall for inside / outside and direction if any.

Hmmmmm one side their going up the other side their going down, Something seems screwy

Those look asymmetrical to me. If so then they're installed correctly. If they're directional then there would be a direction indicator arrow on the sidewall to tell the tech how to mount them. Look for that. If you can't find that, then look the tires up on google to find out if they're directional or asymmetrical.

Off topic, but you need to teach your X how to wipe it's butt.

I was actually able to throw on my wife's tires myself at a DIY shop and the guy helping explained that you need to look for the full DOT tire identification number (TIN) and place those on the outside...these are placed in a oval and looks like a stamp. I looked it up on tire rack later and they say the same thing. Tires are all designed different ways but several of them will have a fat slick/soft/grippy protion on the outside to grip in corners...you can look up the tread pattern design on your tire company's website.
