2013 X5 Engine Rebuild - connecting rod bearings failed

Long story short, I sold my 2011 X5 35d for a 2013 X5 50i. I was extremely happy with the newer vehicle, but while driving one night, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and the engine completely stopped. I had the car towed to the dealership and they reported back to me that the connecting rod bearings on number 1 and number 5 had seized to the crank.

The car had 56k miles on it and I have an EasyCare warranty, which paid for everything.

I am extremely familiar with the performance and characteristics of both a problematic N63 motor (pre-customer care package) and one that has the package applied and works well, but what else should I be concerned about, before I pick it up? A rebuilt motor is back in the car and I will be picking it up next Friday.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Another Mark with a 50i X5!

Did they rebuild your motor or replace it? I just got my 2013 X5 50i on July 4th and drove it 2 days. Been at BMW of Dallas since. Supposed to pick it up Thursday with a brand new motor. Very concerning to see another 50i with similar mileage(mine had 59K) on it have major engine damage all of the sudden...
