BMW rims or fake?
Hey guys, I found a local seller that is selling some rims and I'm trying to determine if they are replicas or originals. Any advice? Here are some pics.
A bit of rash on one wheel, but I'm more concerned with the legitimacy of the rims. Thanks. |

Get more pictures of the markings on the back.
What style are they? If they're real, I don't think these are originally intended for an X5. The X5 is a heavy vehicle and the wheels may not have the right load bearing rating ...

I have run replicas on both a Mercedes cl 550 (heavy vehicle) I may even go as far to say its heavier then an X5, and also my current E70.
I am pleased to say that I have had no problems... But I had heard horror stories so I am not entirely naive. With respect to the wheels mentioned above... I am going to suggest that they are genuine OEM. Reasons being, the stampings seem legit, but also the tires... Someone who runs replicas will likely go for a less expensive tire then pirrelli RFTS... just from my own experience... affordability is the reason we buy replicas in the first place. |

and also its illeagle to stamp United States markings on items if they were produced elsewhere. I would imagine a Chinese manufacture would omit the stamping during manufacturing.
